NEST-PROMISE - Promoting Research and Optimal Methodology and Impacts Supported by Experience
Idea List

The EU NEST-PROMISE project funded under the NEST Programme (New and Emerging Science and Technology http://www.cordis.lu/nest/.) exemplifies Europe’s future needs in tackling unsolved questions and developing innovative concepts in science and technology backed up by novel, ambitious, unconventional, high risk, visionary and multidisciplinary research, to help inform and strengthen HINGE – High Innovation/Gain/Expectation - programmes (including NEST), supporting existing and emerging research programmes and projects.

NEST-PROMISE will survey NEST like Programmes (NLP) on their methodology in terms of successes, failures, problems and solutions as well as measuring their social impacts through risk assessments. For this reason the consortium has launching a SURVEY to leverage off NEST like elements.

The consortium is identifying & selecting seed contacts all over Europe who represent major players and key actors in the decision-making process of National Programmes who may provide a top-down contribution to increasing NEST interest in science and technology, and is organising 3 regional workshop aimed at encouraging the introduction of NEST elements into National Research Programmes:

The first workshop will be held in Pisa (Italy) on 18th of September.

To receive the latest information on NEST-PROMISE, to participate in the regional workshops, to participate as a seed contact in the survey, visit the project website www.nest-promise.net and fill in the on-line registration form http://www.nest-promise.net/forms/registration/
